This policy describes how data is handled when using the Linkrot Chrome extension and linkrot.camor.ru website.
1. Summary
- Linkrot does not collect personal data on operator servers.
- Scan results and settings are stored locally in the browser only.
- No ads, profiling, or data sales.
- This website may use cookies per our cookie policy.
2. Chrome extension
2.1. Purpose
Diagnosing broken links: HTTP checks, SSL/DNS errors, site crawl, CSV export.
2.2. Local data
Stored in chrome.storage: broken link URLs, source pages, HTML selectors, domain settings, exclusions, error types. Not sent to Camor servers.
2.3. Network requests
- HTTP checks to URLs on pages you scan;
dns.google— hostname only for NXDOMAIN detection;- Pages you visit — link extraction via content script.
2.4. Permissions
activeTab, scripting, storage, tabs, webRequest, and host access are used solely for link checking and navigation features described in the extension.
2.5. Remote code
Not used. All JavaScript is bundled with the extension.
3. Website
Informational site with optional analytics cookies (with consent). Server logs may record IP and user-agent for security.
4. Third parties
Google (DNS API, Chrome Web Store, optional Analytics), hosting provider. No sale of personal data.
5. Your rights
Contact alex@camor.ru. Delete extension data by uninstalling or clearing extension storage in Chrome. Withdraw cookie consent via the 🍪 button.
